Halloween Hoot Party
The Halloween Hoot is an annual event hosted by the Ruby Rail Cruisers to raise money. This annual Halloween party started in October 2008 and was originally called, Halloween Fun Day. We had a nice lunch then later enjoyed a laser light show at a private home's front yard in Huntington Beach then we walked around the neighborhood to see the many other Halloween decorated homes, and we ended up "Trick-O-Treating" and one of the Red Hat ladies among us said, "This is a hoot" (Meaning a FUN TIME). And since then I called our annual event the Halloween Hoot.
The Halloween Hoot is the biggest event of the year for the Ruby Rail Cruisers. Every year normally on the last Saturday in October we celebrate Halloween! This year we are celebrating on the third Saturday due to a scheduling conflict on another RRC monthly event. We have lots of fun with our costumes, door prizes, costume contest winners, a good meal and cake & spumoni ice cream. We've attracted Red Hat ladies from all over southern California.
